First Week

 Hello Hockey Players,

As you know games start tonight. I have thought long and hard what to do tonight and I think this is how I would like to happen.

This first week we are still working out final teams so as you get to keep your jersey this season we will wait till we know final team allocation before handing them out. If everyone could please bring a light and dark jersey, if you have them, it would be greatly appreciated. 

I know there may be several people registering tonight last minute. To accommodate for these late registrations it may be beneficial to postpone the jerseys till next week if necessary.

I have made up a preliminary list of teams based on the turn out we had on Sunday night and my knowledge of other players abilities. 

I'm thanking you in advance for your patience as this is a new experience for me.

If you have any friends who would like to play please get them to come tonight by 8.45 to register. I will then allocate them a team in the early game and from there we will assess which team they should be put into. It may be necessary for some to stay back for the 10.15 game and move into teams 3 or 4 to even out the numbers and ability levels. If you know anyone who is thinking about playing but is not coming tonight, get them to contact me or the rink so I can slot them into a team.

Obviously the teams are pretty light at the moment so if players that are scheduled to play in the 2nd game would like to come to the first game to see if any teams need extra players after all new registrations have been processed that would be great, vice versa for the 2nd game this week.

Please remember this is a non-contact friendly game, we have a few very new players so let’s help them learn and enjoy the game so we all have a great time. The code of conduct letter is attached, please read it carefully before coming tonight, and see me if you have any questions about it.
